I Would Say Go.
Why we say go.
MS changes more than the body.
It can make even simple plans feel uncertain. A diagnosis can make the future feel smaller before anything else has changed.
Questions like Can I still do that?, Should I stay home?, and Maybe next year can slowly narrow the world.
We believe the invitation is still open.
Where the words come from.
Joshua Slocum wrote them more than a century ago, after becoming the first person to sail alone around the world. Having done it, he turned to whoever might follow.
He was speaking to the young men of his day.
We kept the invitation and widened who it’s for.
Today, it belongs to anyone facing a journey, whether it crosses an ocean or begins after a diagnosis.
“To young men contemplating a voyage, I would say go.”
